Secrets & Lies by Amanda Young

After the near genocide of his race, Teague Johnson now spends his life hiding in plain sight. In a city populated by humans and nightfeeders alike, he and his brother are forced to cloak themselves in forged histories in order to blend in among the hierarchy of society. When he's not working at Oasis, the sex club he and his brother own, Teague keeps to himself. He relies on strangers to feed his sexual desires, but anything more intimate is off limits. A nosy boyfriend snooping around in his business is the last thing he needs.
Kyle Drake's arrival at the club makes Teague rethink his favorable stance on one-night stands. From the very first touch, Teague can't get enough of Kyle. Their weekly trysts give Teague a reason to anticipate the future -- until Kyle unexpectedly disappears.
A visit from an old friend thrusts Teague's life under a microscope and endangers everything he holds dear. Allegiances are tested, and the lines of friendship blur in a race to stop an inhuman killer. Kyle's fate hinges on Teague's ability to untangle the intricate web of secrets and lies before it's too late.
Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices.

You can wrap a rock person up in your sheet of trickery. A scissor person can sneak up and cut you to pieces. When you fight: No one can anticipate your next move If someone makes you mad: You'll attack them mercilessly when they're unprepared |

Working the TBR
Notes to the Universe
1. Once you reach a certain age, pimples should not be a part of your life. I swear, my skin is in worse condition that it ever was while I was in high school. Puberty = pimples. Everyone knows this to be true.
2. Hair, specifically chin hair. Why do I need chin hair? I don't!
3. I saw The Odd Couple dvd scrolling at Barnes and Noble dot com. Now, I'm humming the theme song.
4. And speaking of books online, Borders, please fix your ordering situation. I've just gotta have those three books in my cart!!!

Working the TBR
I've attempted to use the Borders gift card my husband gave me at Borders.com for the past week. With no success. Now, I love Borders, but the error messages (and the fact that the telephone operators cannot place an order either) is beyond frustrating. It's burning a hole in my pocket!!!
Otherwise, I'm reading:

Morgandy's Lover by Brenda Williamson

Once orphaned, Morgandy Fairfax was lucky to find residence in a mansion. Unfortunately, her young and dashing benefactor Hunt Peregrine disappeared. Forced into marriage, and subsequently widowed, she is face with marrying Hunt's conniving brother Clive.
Woefully unhappy, Morgandy's life changes when she finds the missing Lord Peregrine lying naked in the pasture. Attracted by his hard torso and his arousal, she examines him with unbridled desire. With his muscular body and beguiling charm, he has no problem getting her to accept his offer of a sexual liaison instead of marriage to his brother.
Having been in a foreign prison for ten years, Hunt has finally returned, disoriented and weary from his harrowing journey home. When he wakes in the lush pasture of his estate and finds a ravishing beauty arousing him with her shameless fondling, he feels fate has given him the cure to his cursed existence.
Unable to resist Morgandy's alluring adoration, he uses her to his advantage, as well as falling in love with her faster than a bird can fly. While pursuing his torrid affair, he's challenged to prevent her from sacrificing herself to a man she doesn't love to save their home from the financial ruin of his brother.
In the end, Hunt devises a plan that he hopes will not destroy his cherished role as Morgandy's Lover.
