My husband and I went away for our anniversary over the weekend. Technically speaking, my last vacation was 2 years ago -- we went to the Outer Banks. I've been off from work for other things, but I've always had to go back either later that day or the following day.
We went to Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Yes, I *am* a geek. Thanks for asking!! For our honeymoon, I wanted to drive the River Road from New Orleans to Baton Rouge and tour plantations. We went to Panama City Beach instead.
We had a good time in Williamsburg. It's nice to get away for a few days. Though if you saw my desk and my e-mail inbox(es), you'd wonder if the time off was worth it.
I'm already looking forward to my next vacation -- Walt Disney World, 2009. Bring on those teacups!!!
